Dance Photography for Individual Dancers and Studios
B ruce Peter Photography offers full service Dance Photography for Dancers and Studios. Our team includes a dance professional with over 40 years of dance experience, including performing with companies such as Boston Ballet and the Royal Ballet and 20 years of teaching ballet. We know that good dance photography means the dancer needs to be posed in a technically correct pose to the best of the dancer’s ability. Every dance photo we take is posed by our dance professional.
We offer dance photography services for both dance students and dance professionals and we are available to book for the following types of engagements:
- Individual and group costume photos for Dance Studios and Nutcrackers
- Performance Photography to capture those great onstage moments
- Audition Photos for summer intensives or for a show or company – great photos will help you stand out! Typical required photos:

The important thing in ballet is the movement itself. A ballet may contain a story, but the visual spectacle . . . is the essential element. The choreographer and the dancer must remember that they reach the audience through the eye.

Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.
